Synopsis
- Berdasarkan novel 해를 품은 달 (Bulan Yang memeluk Matahari) oleh Jung Eun Gwol (pertama kali diterbitkan 29 Desember 2005), yang juga penulis novel yang Sungkyunkwan Scandal didasarkan pada.
- Aktor Joo Won awalnya berperan sebagai Pangeran Yang Myung, namun keluar dari acara karena Ojakgyo Brothers diperpanjang. Aktor Jung Il Woo telah menggantika untuk peran ini.
- Aktor Kim Jeong Hoon dijadwalkan untuk bermain Heo Yeom namun keluar seri sebelum syuting karena albumnya yang dirilis awal 2012 di Jepang. Song Jae Hee telah menjadi pengganti untuk peran ini.
